Parent Academy – is an informal educational organization founded by behavior analyst and mother of two Olga Shapovalova with the participation of specialists in the field of applied behavior analysis.

Why Academy?
Being a parent means changing a child's behavior in accordance with the accepted norms of family and society. Everything a parent does boils down to behavioral management: teaching them to eat independently, dress themselves, share toys, not hit their peers, do homework, understand words and concepts, love and create—the list goes on.
If you don't know the laws of behavior, you're navigating blind! I realized this when I was a university student in the Applied Behavior Analysis department. My child was seven years old at the time. As I studied the laws, it became clearer to me how my actions led to changes in my child's behavior, and how to teach him new things more quickly and easily.
Who studied the laws of behavioral formation before starting to educate their children? Where do parents learn this? Neither in school nor in college were there any subjects that taught these laws. In education, we often rely solely on our own life experience—experience without any systematic understanding of the mechanisms of behavioral formation. Parents are helped by books and the experiences of others. Many use the same parenting techniques they were raised with. Or, conversely, they take the opposite approach, implementing the strategy "I won't do that because that's what my parents did!"
Parents may think they know exactly what their child needs. If this doesn't work and the child's behavior doesn't change as planned, then they shift the blame to the child: he's unteachable, he doesn't understand anything, he's doing it to spite me, he's going through adolescence, and so on.We are all different and we are different because the same events will be desirable for some, unpleasant for others, and others won't even notice. By being able to notice this difference, you can better understand the origin of the behavior that will be a reaction to this event.
